My Thoughts on Credit Cards

Writing is business for the majority of us. For most of the bloggers I know, so is blogging. That is how we make our living. And budgeting our money is crucial, because the saying “One day at a time” truly does apply when you work freelance. You never know what a new day will bring. That is why I would like to take this opportunity to tell you what I think about credit cards.Credit cards are the worst thing that has happened to our economy. But not only that, the ease of obtaining and using a credit card to make purchases has affected us on a much deeper level than just our finances. I believe rewards should only come with hard work. But the mindset of the American public, especially younger people, is that they can have whatever they want whenever they want it. Just whip out that credit card!

Now I will admit that there are times when a credit card is valuable to have. With the competition as fierce as it is for consumer attention and revenue, many credit card companies offer 0% credit cards and 0% balance transfers. This is great for people who know their limits. Emergency situations arise in which a credit card can be a lifesaver. But for people who are not disciplined when it comes to finances, it can lead to disaster.

Boy that felt good to get off my chest!

I can’t agree with you. Credit cards are a great invention! They do make our life easier! The thing is many people can’t control themselves and their spending habits. As a result - deep debt. Credit cards are not an evil, but people are too greedy!
