business, education, employment, spiritual development and politics.

SUBMISSIONS ACCEPTED
Want to write for REPTILES magazine? That’s great, provided you know
your
subject. REPTILES publishes articles about a wide variety of reptile-
and
amphibian-related topics, and all of our authors are experts on what
they
write about.
Who qualifies as an expert? If you have some experience with the
animals
you wish to write about, or a particular type of setup, that’s the
best
place to start. Long-term success with keeping reptiles and/or
amphibians
is great, and a track record of successful breeding efforts is even
better.
This type of experience is much preferred over an author who simply
scans a
book or does some brief research on the Internet before churning out an
article.
If we like your article, we will send you a contract telling you we
want to
purchase it for potential future use in the magazine. You’ll need to
sign
the contract and return a copy to us before we can use the article. It
is
unlikely that we will be able to tell you exactly when the article will
appear in the magazine. You will be provided two contributor copies
upon
publication.

MAGAZINE LOOKING FOR WRITERS
Young Beautiful, America’s newest fashion and beauty magazine for
African
American teen girls, is looking for writers. From news on fashion,
music,
style and education, this magazine will become the first choice,
“must
have†publication for African American teen girls. Young Beautiful
magazine
will highlight teen-related feature articles as well as practical
advice
for negotiating everyday challenges.
Our freelancers write feature articles (1100 words max) or can write
for
any of our departments (not to exceed 500 words). Our typical
departments
are:
Fashion and Accessories
Global Issues
School, Money & Work
Relationships
Makeup, Hair & Skincare
Real Life Stories and Teen Issues
Diet, Health & Fitness
Our greatest need is for articles related to African American teen
girls
and their quest to negotiate the often challenging, yet fun and
exciting
self discovery years.
