I have done a lot of research into what it takes to be successful as online business owner. I haven’t made the commitment yet to open an online store, however, because I DO realize that it takes 110% to be the kind of success I would want to be. Because I see how hard it is to do it all on your own and I believe the expense would be well worth it.

Hiring an Internet Marketing Company is a much better way to go, as opposed to hiring one or even tow people inhouse. Lets figure what it would cost to hire even just one person, about $60-$80k/year for a mid level person with “some” experience, not a seasoned professional.
Now lets figure the cost of a solid 12 month SEO campaign, about $48k/year. And with that you get a TEAM of professionals to run your campaign. That holds so much more value!
Mary, be careful of sites that offer you such things. Any company worth its weight will not need to resort to these “salesy” tactics to gain business. Rather, they would depend on their good reputations, experience, client list, and their own Website’s rankings.
But please do share with us what site is offering that. Actually many sites offer PPC coupons similar to this. GoDaddy offers like $50 in Google and $50 in MSN for free.
I might also add that many small sized businesses do not have enough money to invest in SEO, it is very expensive and the results do not come for a long time. But if you can save up for it and do it right it is well worth the investment.
