A New Religion

Well, Cruise and Travolta may have their Scientology, but check this out. There is a new religion called Supplementology, which combines spiritual and scientific theories in a way that can satisfy even the most skeptical agnostic.

Rev. Sidney R. Smith, author of “Supplementology: Combining Religion with Science”, says that this religion brings science and religion together with a new understanding, freeing us from superstition. Claiming to explain the creation of the universe and the purpose of existence, Supplementology can be expressed in a set of nine norms. The norms state such things as; that God gave man free will, (I certainly won’t argue with that), that actions and good deeds are the true prayers, and that prayers in words only are meaningless to God; (this is similiar to what the Jewish faith believes.) Supplementology believes that children are our future, (I agree wholeheartedly) and the most important subject that should be taught in school is how to create a successful family life; (sounds vaguely like a conservative platform) and that every human being possesses an immortal spirit. (of course we do.)

This religion is very close to what I believe myself. If you want to learn more about Supplementology, go to Supplementology.org.
